Go to this website to generate a negative of your JPEG. You can see what the final outcome will look like in different solarfast color inks. You can adjust the contrast before you create negative. Then print directly on to transparency paper. You need TWO copies and print on highest quality. Align the two transparencies together and tape with clear scotch tape (this wont show in final print.)
You can use two products- one is SOLARFAST ink that you paint on to natural fabric (cotton, etc) and print while wet. There is vast variety of colors. It is great because you can print directly on to tshirt or denim.
OR you can purchase pre-treated fabric sheets from Jacquard called CYANOTYPE. It only comes in the classic cerulean blue but is very intense color and sharper images created than with the ink. I prefer this for the printing of negatives.
After exposed- (more time is better than less)- bring inside, remove negative and wash immediately. Rinse in sink for several minutes. The solarfast ink needs to be then washed with the special SOLAR FAST wash they sell.
The pretreated Cyanotype sheets can be washed with cold water and then placed in a bath of water with splash of hydrogen peroxide- the color deepens dramatically with the hydrogen peroxide. I then throw in wash for one last wash but not needed
