Super easy and such a fun technique.
Materials:
Thick thread. Embroidery thread works supposedly.
Acrylic paint
Tray
Paintbrush
Pad of paper
Instructions.
Cut approximately one yard of thread.
Put some paint on the tray and coat the thread in the paint. I paint the paint on to the thread with the brush. Also pull the thread through the bristles in a pool of paint so that full coated.
Open pad of paper and lay down the thread in loopy zig zag manner. Or spiral.
Leave a tip of unpainted thread hanging out. Close pad so that top paper lays on top of thread. Apply pressure evenly over the top paper and pull the string.
Pull the string straight out.
you get two copies of each print- so fun and super gratifying!
